Over Ellece

Meet Ellece: a singer-songwriter who writes heartfelt, accessible pop with a touch of reflection. Drawing inspiration from James Bay, Maren Morris, and Noah Kahan, the 22-year-old artist transforms life’s ups and downs into melodies that inspire resilience and introspection.

Ellece, born Emily van Elleswijk, discovered her passion for songwriting at just 12 years old. Her talent quickly gained recognition when she won the 1st prize in Music for Noord Brabant at the prestigious Kunstbende competition at age 14. Winning this award took her to the national finals at Amsterdam’s iconic Westergasfabriek, starting a journey of musical growth and self-discovery.

Eager to improve her skills, Ellece delved deeper into songwriting and, in 2020, secured a spot at the Rockacademie in Tilburg. During her studies, she formed a dynamic 5-member band, blending pop, rock, and Americana influences into an emotionally charged soundscape that resonates with audiences.

March 2024 marked an exciting chapter as Ellece took part in the PopCollegeTour, an initiative connecting six Dutch conservatories. Over the course of a single week, she captivated crowds at venues such as Poppodium 013, Metropool, Patronaat, and Q-Factory.

She has already given listeners a taste of what’s to come with the release of two singles, covering themes of personal growth, resilience, and self-acceptance. With each new track, Ellece continues to invite audiences into her world, offering music that speaks to the heart and soul.
